Lakes 3000 Footers

Lake District 3000 Footers mountain challenge

The Lake District National Park includes four mountains which are over 3000 feet which can be combined into a challenging team event known as the Lake District 3000 Footers.

We can structure this event in accordance with the specific requirements of the group and it can be done over one or two days within a 16 hour walking period.

Scafell Pike and its 'little' brother Scafell are summited consecutively via either the Corridor Route, Grains Gill or the shortest route starting out from the National Trust Campsite at Wasdale Head.

Options for Helvellyn include the classic route from Patterdale ascending via Striding Edge and descending by Swirral Edge or alternatively, using the more direct route from Swirls Car Park at Thirlmere.

Skiddaw is generally ascended via Millbeck or taking the easier option starting at a higher level from Latrigg.

The Lake District 3000 Footers is regarded as a serious mountain challenge which involves walking over rough & varied terrain and can be structured based on the ability of the group.

Over a 16 hour period it is a strenuous exercise even using link transport between the individual mountains and ranks highly compared to the National 24 Hour 3 Peaks event.

Included....

All transport to / from the peaks.

All food during the challenge.

Accommodation on the first or last night.

Qualified guide on each leg ratio 1:8.

Driver throughout the challenge.

Photos / videos of the event.

Please Note:

The physical challenge of the Lake District 3000 Footer Challenge cannot be underestimated; however by having the option of completing the challenge over 1 or 2 days, this challenge can be matched to the groups aims and abilities, ensuring that everyone will return home with some amazing memories.

For your overnight accommodation, you will be based in one of Keswick’s many fine hotels or B&B's, relaxing ready to return home or resume the 2nd day of the challenge!
