Ghyll scrambling - Featured on BBC1's Country File!

Impossible to describe and impossible to forget! Ghyll scrambling is always one of the favourites and involves descending a Lake District mountain stream under the safe guidance of our experienced instructors. The descent will include slides, dives and even waterfall jumps and is guaranteed to have you buzzing with adrenalin by the finish. Your instructor will guide you down the ghyll ensuring your safety and maximising your enjoyment of a truly great experience!

We have expert knowledge of many ghylls in the area, and take great pride in providing the perfect sessions depending on each groups specific requirements. Whether you want to improve your technical skills or are simply after an adrenaline rush we have the ideal ghyll scramble for you!

Typical itinerary

9am
Leave Keswick and travel through Borrowdale Valley.
9.30am
Arrive at the bottom of the ghyll scramble and climb to the top.
9.45am
Kit up with waterproofs and helmets before going into the ghyll.
10am
Then into the water and 'ghyll scramble' down, even jumping off waterfalls!
12pm
Complete the ghyll scramble, warm up, dry out and head back to Keswick.
